My purpose for this artwork is to express the beauty and intrigue found through interconnectedness in the world. I am motivated through exploring the existent and abstract complexities of life, as presented in science and mathematics, through drawing and painting. Rather than rendering figural, earthly or atmospheric elements in descriptive detail, I am interested in the inner and external relationships between simplified forms. The rich detail of each individual component of this work, as in nature, reveals clues about the structural connections of the universe. By minimizing the physical elements of my compositions, I hope to expose another world that may exist inside the smallest elements of our experience, as well as within the immensity of the universe.
